Well the time has come… the FINAL blog of 2016! I want to thank each and everyone of you for taking time out of your busy lives and letting me show you just some of the things I have been up to this year. Not only did I finish up my schooling, but I also started up my own business. This is something I never picture myself doing. But I want to thank some very wonderful people in my life. I have grown my passion into a business, and I wouldnt have been able to do it without my family, friends and clients. Every time I have a new client I am very nervous, but everything has been wonderful and extremely rewarding. I love that people trust me to help them work on their homes. So much to be thankful for this year! My entire family has been such a positive influence on me, helping me to do the things I love to do; encouraging me along the way. I am proud to be who I am and that is all due to the fact that each one of them has backed me all along the way. Thank you, wonderful husband, daughters, sisters, brother-in-laws, and nieces and nephews. You all are the reason I have come so far in this amazing journey called my LIFE!
I decided that this final blog of the year should be about change, since my entire life this year is just that.
My eldest daughter moved into her first apartment this year, and I thought it would be a nice gesture to give her my Christmas tree. She loved it and it has brightened up her place. And made her so happy. So this has left me with no Christmas tree in my living room upstairs. At the end of the season last year I bought an already lit tree in a plaster box. I loved it but bought it to put outside. CHANGE OF PLANS…this would be my Christmas tree in the newly renovated living room. I just put the ornaments that were the most sparkly and beautiful to me, instead of all the ornaments I normally put on the upstairs tree. This tree is always my own tree to decorate so I put the things on it that made me happy and I love the way it turned out. I used the ornaments that were turquoise because not only is it my business colour it is my one of my favourite colours and goes well with the brown I have in the room. I have to say, this turn of events is something I just may keep doing from year to year. It was a very pleasant surprise to see how it turned out. This just goes to show you some surprises are wonderful and rewarding!
I hope some of these blogs have given you courage to try something new, branching out of the norm is a hard thing to do for some people, but it turns into not only a beautiful looking item but a feeling of accomplishment and faith in yourself. Please continue to try new things and go outside of your comfort zone, you will be amazed as to what you can do!
Thank you for letting me show you the simplicity of my life, as I turn it into something chic!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, we're looking forward to spending 2017 with you!
