Since we recently got our wonderful Little French Bulldog Gary, I thought what a fun time to do a blog about dog decor!
Once I started researching I couldn’t believe all of the wonderful things we can do and add to any room for pets.
One thing I loved was an old DIY. This project would use your dog's paw print, painted on a neutral piece of paper, adding a gorgeous frame and voila…an adorable, personal print for any room! Don’t forget the date and age of your puppy, you will want to remember that forever!
How about dressing up that ugly metal puppy crate? Pick a print or go with a coloured fabric that will go with your décor. Some may want this project to stand out, so try using fabric that incorporates all the colours in your room, maybe a paisley or striped theme. Sew 4 panels, add some piping to the edges for ties and attach around the cage. It may just help that little puppy to feel more comfortable and sleep better feeling confined to this little room all of his own.

How about a leash holder, so you have everything right in the proper spot and ready to go.
You can purchase a wooden plaque at Michael's. On that plaque add a hook…something that goes with your decor….white if that is your prominent colour. Silver, if your décor is a bit more modern, or even black if you're looking for something to stand out or make a mark. Paint the plaque and maybe add your doggie’s name, your last name, a letter, or even a silhouette of that puppy of yours. This might be one of my favourite projects, it's truly adorable. I absolutely love my dog and know how special he is to our family, so this is definitely on our list of projects. Take a picture of your pup, cut out the silhouette on a black piece of paper, trace it onto a wonderful piece of scrap book paper, add a frame and yet another little and cheap DIY project for you and your dog. I have to say this last project is the cutest project by far. Not an easy DIY, but one that is so practical and useful! This little dog bed truly integrates into your home decor! Find the DIY instructions here: http://86lemons.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/DogBed08.jpg
